Thrift Haven is located at 1312 S. Glenstone Ave. Springfield, MO.
All proceeds (100%) from Thrift Haven help provide for the needs of children residing at Fair Haven.

Thrift Haven depends upon your donations of items such as appliances, books, clothing, electronics, furniture, housewares, shoes etc. Thrift Haven is able to provide needed items at lower costs and provide pure benevolence to those in need. The majority of Thrift Haven’s staff consists of non-paid volunteers.

How Can You Help?:

  1. Donate items items to Thrift Haven. (Note: Fair Haven is unable to take older television sets and mattresses with stains or tears.)
  2. Set up a time to volunteer. (Youth Groups, Civic Groups, Ladies Groups, and individuals are encouraged to become part of our volunteer team.)
  3. Shop at Thrift Haven.
  4. Tell your friends and neighbors about Thrift Haven.

We are always in need of volunteers. You are encouraged to check out our volunteer page and schedule a time to volunteer. You can make a difference in lives of the children who reside at Fair Haven Children’s Home.

Our thrift store is going strong, but it is the type of thing that is always in need. We need your quality donations, but we also need your helping hands. We count on our volunteers on a daily basis at Thrift Haven to make sure that donations are collected, sorted, priced, and placed on the floor.

Every volunteer hour equates to about $45 of revenue for Fair Haven.

If you like books, shoes, electronics, clothes, toys, housewares, or furniture, we have place for you. Maybe you need some cash register experience. We would love to train you for that as well. We have a place for you, if you have the desire to help with our work.

Come help us out as we work to help these children. You will meet a lot of great people that are a fun to be around.

    Donate Your Stuff

Thrift Haven accepts donations of all kinds. We can always use furniture, household items, clothes, shoes, toys, books, and electronics. Even if you think your clothes are rags, we can still put them to good use. Just put them in a separate bag labeled “rags” and we can send those items to a warehouse in Texas, which sorts, cleans, and fixes items to be sent on mission trips. We make money for every load we send them.

If you have several larger items, we can occasionally send one of our trucks to come and pick them up. We are restricted as to how far we can travel for pickups, especially with current fuel prices. Feel free to give us a call at (417) 414-0464 if you have a donation, or you may leave your donations at the store.

Please note that we can no longer accept older style televisions or computer monitors regardless of condition. They are nearly impossible to sell and it costs us to recycle them.

    **Spring time tip**
Skip the yard-sale this year! You know that you would rather be spending time with your family anyway. Just pack up those items and bring them in to Thrift Haven.
